- Dear suhallofshame, I'm sorry you feel that my attempts to educate others about the problems in U.S. public schools is SPAM. Yes, we have a book that is currently posted on the site, but we sell mostly offline and/or on our other websites. Yes, the book has solutions for many of the problems in education today, but the blog is a vehicle for informing the public about the vast problems in education today. Selling any books is secondary. We have several websites, Amazon.com and specialized bookstores for that. In my opinion, having an ad for the book on the site is exactly the same thing as having adsense ads like some of our other sites do, only prettier. (I'm sharing this information with you with the hope that you won't jump to the same erroneous conclusion everytime you see an ad on someone else's site.) It's sad that you think that cheating is not a problem in our schools. Every post in my blog (including the cheating series), is submitted after extensive research. In fact, I keep documentation of all my resources. Perhaps you prefer scouring Newsweek, Times, other major media, all the major news networks, college papers and the education forums for first hand information, but I try to save my readers from having to do all that work. Cheating is epidemic in our schools and elsewhere. With a small amount of research, I'm certain that you can discover some of the statistics to prove that cheating is rampant in our schools for yourself. I do NOT SPAM! I have many friends and acquaintances who share their posts with me, and I appreciate their efforts. I happen to enjoy StumbleUpon, especially the new education and animal-related sites that I discover through it. As for our book being on the front page of my site, this is just about the 9th split-test that I've done and obviously this positioning irritates you for some reason. Stick around, once the results are in for this format, I'll be changing things again. I don't know who established you as the arbitor of StumbleUpon usage, but if you are going to take the mantle upon yourself, perhaps it would be wise for you to understand how "SOCIAL" networking works. StumbleUpon advertises as a way to discover new sites and I think they do a wonderful job. You might be surprised to learn that I have many readers who like my site, my style of writing and knowing the truth about cheating in our schools, even if there are those who feel it is perfectly acceptable to cheat or those who refuse to believe it is occurring for some reason. As for Newsvine, I submitted my own post in ignorance because it was a very timely and newsworthy article. They rejected it (in spite of their "newsvine" name), even though it might have saved some lives to have the valid information on the post disseminated to their readers. For doing so, they banned me. Well, perhaps they'll rename their site to something more accurate at some point in the future. Thank you for your viewpoint. With my thousands of readers, it's seldom that I get an opportunity (or have the need) to clarify what my site is about. If you have a site, I'd be very happy to take a look at it. I promise not to do any "flaming or shaming". At my age, I'm just trying to understand the different personality types on the internet. I wish you well! Brennan Kingsland Dear abitaamber, Please read the above. Thank you!

abitaamber rated 5 months ago- Spammer.

suhallofshame rated 5 months ago- So I was reading your blog post on the "cheating epidemic" that you claim is sweeping our schools, I assume this is to goad people into buying your book? I hope your see the hypocrisy in your statement since you yourself are "cheating" right here on StumbleUpon, you obviously understand that exchanging reviews is not a wanted contribution to the SU community, and that you've been banned from other sites (newsvine) for the being an obnoxious spammer. So please, why don't you practice what you preach and not "bypass good work and study habits for technological shortcuts", like you are doing by gaming the SU system for your own personal gain.

dede-w rated 13 months ago- In January, Fox News presented a report about the political discussion/argument that was going on in Washington, as the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) results were being evaluated again. The upshot was, both parties continued to disagree on almost everything. Surprise! Surprise!
