I do hope that we finally figure out what the score is and begin to do something about it before this country completes its descent into Hell. In general, people are generally good, and most of the time want the same things. It is just that a lot of people are poorly informed. Gotta have hope though, or else why keep going?

- This is one stumbler who doesn't hesitate to speak his mind and gives me plenty to think about each time I visit. I snagged a portion of one of his posts to demonstrate what I am talking about. I can't say that I disagree with him but I also can't say that I'm ready to throw in the towel and not vote at all. As much as I, too, believe we are screwed no matter what, I continue to cling to the hope that there is still some sanity left in this world. That "Fucking Americans" will come to their senses and wake up in time to fix the huge mess we have gotten ourselves into. Yes, I'm a dreamer. But I can't be the only one. From his page: "I maintain my option NOT to vote for any of them. It just doesn't matter, really, we are going to lose no matter who. McCain has sold his soul. Clinton is completely self-absorbed by winning -- nothing else matters. And Obama?? He'll get nothing done even if he does get elected (which he won't, the institution will not let that happen) ... he will be so completely overwhelmed by the system he'll be helpless to recover, then the media (especially the hard-right) will dog his every step (like they will Clinton if she gets in) and America ??? Americans?? Fucking Americans?? They'll be shopping on credit and forming all their opinions by 30 second sound bites and from over-zealous, agenda-driving assholes in the media. "
