From the page: "After coming back from a Vipassana retreat, I found I lacked a good 1 hour timer. I also found that I didn't have any with S.N. Goenka's chant at the end." thanks, It will be very useful, better then what I am using now.

Fingers Pointing Toward the Moon by Wei Wu WeiThere seem to two kinds of searchers: those who seek to make their ego something other than it is, i.e. holy, happy, unselfish (as though you could make a fish unfish), and those who understand that all such attempts are just gesticulation and play-acting, that there is only one thing that can be done, which is to disidentify themselves with the egoIn walking, just walk, in sitting, just sit. Above all, don't wobble. - Alan Watts

Understanding and Love are not two separate things, but just one. To develop understanding, you have to practice looking at all living beings with the eyes of compassion. When you understand, you cannot help but love. And when you love, you naturally act in a way that can relieve the suffering of people. â€"Thich Nhat Hanh"

I've practiced these ideas for many years, so while this stuff is interesting, it is so in more of a variety show type way. It'd be cool to see a blog involved in the more complex ideas of letting go, the more intuitive ideas that are much more difficult to vocalize. Letting go at a certain level becomes a very interesting gesture, especially when applied to every aspect of your life. Maybe I'll throw up a blog about it.
