tuffghostsu rated 7 months agohealth - Wow! This may be the first page I've stumbled that has an actual motivational poster.
overtek rated 8 months agohealth - Good article about breathing, something that we do spontaneously everyday in life. It's interesting to learn how breathing can affect many things in our life.
retsudo rated 8 months ago- I would be *slightly* more inclined to read this if the supposed expert on breathing knew the difference between "Breath" and "Breathe"
olsonnd rated 8 months agohealth - Okay, we all know how to breath right? Not so. Take a look!
agencynurse rated 9 months agohealth, consciousness, breathing, presence, breath - Awareness of your breathing makes you present and conscious. Michael Brown in the "presence process" expands on breathing techniques more fully. Great article.

70% of waste is eliminated through your lungs: I thought I knew quite allot about the basics of the human body. It wasn't until I started reading the Tao Of Breathing by Dennis Lewis that I discovered something I did not know. 70% of our body's waste products are eliminated via our lungs and the rest through the urine, skin and feces. When the efficiency of our lungs is reduced due to poor breathing less oxygen is available to our cells, it slows down the flow of blood which carries wastes from the kidneys and lungs. Our lymphatic system which fights off viral and bacterial invaders is weakened along with a slower digestive process.
