Synergy lets you easily share a single mouse and keyboard between multiple computers with different operating systems, each with its own display, without special hardware. It's intended for users with multiple computers on their desk since each system uses its own monitor(s).

This is extremely useful. This is amazing. If you have two computers, you should use this.

I love this application!! I have a laptop screen in the center of my desk with an additional monitor to the right and a desktop computer with a monitor to the left and I always found it a pain to switch to the desktop keyboard and mouse to do something on the the other computer for just a moment. I created an SSH tunnel between the two machine (for security) and route Synergy through it. Now I have the computing power of two machine working independently and the sexiness of three contiguous screens at my desk. Now I just need to install a really good shared hard drive app over the SSH tunnel and I'll be all set. Anyone have any suggestions.

I don't have the setup, but this sounds pretty clever

Been trying to use this app a few times. Never had it working. Probably me that's to lazy with the instructions.
