Anyone that believes the drug war is actually about curbing the influx of drugs in the USA, is not paying attention. This website is helping to show the fallacies behind our government's anti-drug policies.

I highly recommend the report Nixon commissioned on marijuana: http://www.druglibrary.org/schaffer/Library/studies/nc/ncmenu.htm It is replete with such lucidity.

According to the federal Bureau of Justice Statistics the number of U.S. residents behind bars has now reached more than 2.3 million. We are losing an entire generation of young men and women to our prisons. Our nation's ineffective and wasteful 'war on drugs' plays a major role in this." -- former Alaska U.S. Senator Mike Gravel

Sometime between the Cold War and the Terror War, there was the Drug War. Still going on apparently, not sure who is winning ? Nowadays we just know that its impossible for a politician to make a rational statement about drugs. So we don't talk about it. It would be a shame to embarrass them. Incidentally another social change organisation using drupal.
