I am not a MS fanboi but this was solved over approx 2 months ago. I suggest you use your preferred search engine to verify when this came to light and not 5 days ago. PS. Posted via Ubuntu 9.04

Guys. You know you can tell it to prompt you to install OneClick applications in the Add-Ons settings, right? Or, likewise, you can always delete it if it displeases you that much.

From the page: "The official purpose of the add-on is to add `One-Click' support and the ability to report installed .NET framework versions to the web server, but it also allows websites to install software on a users PC without their knowledge. This is a very serious security flaw that effectively turns Firefox into an open gateway for malware, much like Microsoft's own web browser, Internet Explorer." | If I wanted my browser to be as unsafe as IE I would be using IE!
