darxon rated 3 months ago- The literary reference is brilliant. :) From the page: "Remember the lines from this poem when you think about who might be sitting next to you "They're a ravenous horde -- and they all came on board At Sloane Square and South Kensington Stations. And bound on that journey you find your attorney (Who started that morning from Devon)" The Nightmare Song, from Iolanthe W.S.Gilbert"

toniks rated 6 months ago- very amusing!

fivecats rated 6 months ago- mind the gap

Yodal--Sojuhe rated 7 months ago- From the page: "I once heard a tube story of a woman who was being groped by a man in a crowded tube. She picked up his hand from her rear end, held it in the air and loudly said "Does this belong to anyone, as it seems to be attached to my bottom?" The man went purple with embarrassment and slunk off the tube at the next stop." tee-hee.

Badshaped rated 8 months ago- Entertaining :D

stuntman2006 rated 9 months ago- Very funny and quite entertainingly written.

Kingreaper rated 12 months ago- "I always stand at the edge of the platform (behind the line of course!) where "mind the gap" is painted. Nine times out of ten you will find the doors stop exactly in front of it, making you the first on. If there is no "mind the gap" on your part of the platform, don't despair - examine the wear and tear on the platform, where the paint is faded more, this is where the doors will be (obvious really). Give it a try, you won't be disappointed"
Basic set of rules for travelling on the tube in London, nothing new to me, but still interesting, and if you're a non-londoner planning to visit, it's worth reading first.- "I always stand at the edge of the platform (behind the line of course!) where "mind the gap" is painted. secrethousewife rated 12 months ago- Funny and insightful! Will draw a knowing smile from anyone who has ever used the Tube! As they say " If we were meant to make eye contact on the tube God would not have invented the Evening Standard!!"
