Lovers of painting and lovers of music are people who openly display their preference like a delectable ailment that isolates them and makes them proud.  *Maurice Blanchot*

One of the more beautiful collections of art in Stumbleland, wonderful collection of poems as well, many thanks Fair Daffodils, we weep to see You haste away so soon; As yet the early-rising sun Has not attain'd his noon. Stay, stay, Until the hasting day Has run But to the even-song; And, having pray'd together, we Will go with you along. We have short time to stay, as you, We have as short a spring; As quick a growth to meet decay, As you, or anything. We die As your hours do, and dry Away, Like to the summer's rain; Or as the pearls of morning's dew, Ne'er to be found again. Robert Herrick - To Daffodils

Classical Art. Much better than that modern rubbish where the woman has an upside-down nose and two eyes next to her ear. Or am I old-fashioned?

Edit: From her page: "Love is not just a romantic feeling to be celebrated with hearts and flowers one day a year. It is a dynamic power to be used 365 days out of every year, used without ceasing. The power of unconditional love enables us to live joyfully, abundantly and in peace, healing every dis-ease, correcting every malfunction. May this day of love serve as a reminder to all humanity that when we are willing to love without limits of any kind only then will we be able to live without limits, as well." Leave it to Sogdiana to make me feel sunny even on a cold, rainy, dreary day like this. From the page: "f you give your energy to fear and hatred, whatever you fear and whatever you despise will grow bigger and more imposing. Is that really what you want? -- Ralph Marston" What a lovely woman Sogdiana is.
