Dazed42 discovered 7 months ago- Arrested for asking a cop his name. God bless America.

pwnsw0rth rated 2 months ago- Illegally chained to parking meters or not, it is still retarded. The cops are definitely more than a bit out of line here.

- Boy, sure seems outrageous when you only hear their side of the story, doesn't it?

davefoley77 rated 7 months ago- The key is that they took bikes locked to parking meters and street signs. Anywhere I have lived, it is not legal to lock your bike to these objects.

tiberiandusk rated 7 months ago- fuck the police

stevelovejoy rated 7 months ago- OK. So 1st of all, is this real? I dunno. I can't locate it on snopes.com. I googled "Robert Carnevale" and found http://www.villagevoice.com/blogs/runninscared/archives/2007/06/bike_raid_on_ea. php I am inclined to think something like this, involving civil rights attorneys for example, would attract a more media attention.

- Interesting but I wish there were more citations (like something linking to the other story they reference) to make it seem more valid.

greenchair rated 7 months ago- Just the facts, please.

- As a part of the power entrusted to police to use force to uphold the law, they also need to be subject to especially harsh sanctions when they are found to be abusing it. Immediate dismissal followed by possible criminal prosecution for such abuses is appropriate.
