Anitra discovered 24 months ago- Israeli historian Ilan Pappe on Israel's ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in 1948 and the future of peace in Palestine. Professor Pappe's outline for peace in the Middle East:
- Do not allow a recurrence of the 1948 ethnic cleansing. Professor Pappe considers this a very serious risk. (Some would say it is already underway.)
- End the occupation, without abandoning the Palestinian refugees from the territory Israel claims, or the Palestinian minority in Israel.
- Establish a Right of Return, and equal rights for the Palestinian citizens in Israel, as well as Palestinians (and Jews) in Palestine.
