    As I was talking about the other day, my current recording project is a departure from the acoustic realm into more of a pop genre with synth, electric instruments, drums and more of a rock feel....So somehow I managed to stumble upon Seth Godin's post today about "The Dead Zone of Slick" and I am assuming this is a message to me to be sure to not overdo it. In an age of instant-on, it is easy to overdo it when we have incredible power at our finger tips. (I think this applies to life outside of music too.....) Furthermore, Seth makes the insightful comment in another post, "A concert isn't about the music, is it?"

    ugggh. Hate the dead zone - kinda even hate the slick - sometimes. but I love authentic, real and personable people connection in marketing.
