Just-Linda rated 7 weeks ago- A random tour thru the vast empire of the Internet, put me on the same flight plan as the 'dumbass' Albatross, it seems. I was struck by the beauty of the wing-span, sleek and sharp, slicing the pic from corner to corner. Nah. That was the photographer. Still, fishermen see the Albatross as good luck. And many a story has been written about the weight of this mighty bird (need I mention the Ancient Mariner?), esp. when it hangs around one's neck. Symbolism aside, I thought this pic beautiful. There is a lot of 'did you know'? info about the Albatross at the link. A bird's bird. A writer's bird. Ha! Big bird. A lovely bird. I feel a song coming on...
