God's timeline "I hand out a geological timeline in my introductory biology course, and I expect the students to learn it. It's a busy little sheet of paper. But have you ever wondered what the old earth creationist timeline would look like? The young earth creationist timeline would be a fraction of pixel high. The intelligent design creationist timeline would be the same as the one above, except god would be diddling creation imperceptibly and invisibly throughout. At least it gives the old man something to do."

Eh. Whoever Created this obviously didn't follow through very well with their idea.Stacking this God character against all the available time since the Big Bang is completely meaningless, for two reasons. For one, it's either one side or the other; there is no reconciling or combining these two versions of the Universe, as interpreted here. Therefore, joking about God having nothing to do during all that post Big-Bang time falls completely flat. The other reason, should you ignore the first, is this God cat is all infinite in time and space, and 13.7 billion years is nothing when you live forever, trust me. Therefore, joking about God having nothing to do during all that post Big-Bang time falls completely flat. Not sure why I decided to write all this crap. I have a healthy dislike of Creationism, and all the dishonesty and damage to education it entails. That doesn't give this crappy, self-indulgent joke a free pass. I suppose if you're going to make fun of any age-old mythology attached to a popular religion, picking it apart using knowledge gained a couple thousand years later, you really should critically examine your own joke and make sure it even works.

Science wins. I am surprised that creationists that review things like this give it an instant thumbs down and then claim science lacks logic or philosophy. Tell me who is more "small minded", the people who cannot tell the difference from logic and "god" or the people who are educated, intelligent, and competent enough to use the logic of the scientific method and it's philosophy to seek truth. And another thing, why is it that creationists act like a valid criticism is some form of hate? The moment someone wants to teach evolution the creationists were the ones that threw feces. Hitting people on the head with a bible simply because they were an atheist? Yep those were the creationists. Frankly the creationists need to get over themselves and lose the persecution complex. Ad homs are not an argument.

The bloggers at Pharyngula are some of the smallest minded people there are. To them there is only science and the reason that extends from science. No reason, logic or philosophy that is developed from the human experience. Their three legged stool is missing a leg and the seat which allows them to use science (so they claim) to promote hate.
