seekerpat rated 3 months ago- Flowers really make you happy? Counting on your fingers helps w/math? Changing your thinking changes your behavior? Language helps us communicate? WTF! This proving the obvious is just fluffy, feel good science, borderline drivel. We read it feeling smug and self-satisfied with some trivial knowledge about the human condition. Thus we can dodge the more difficult and painful questions. Such as: How & why does it become acceptable within the zietgeist to kill others on a massive scale? How can ordinary, decent people be so completely indifferent to the suffering of others? Why would we rather endure the greater pain of self-deception than the lesser one of honesty and truth?

Tugger1013 rated 10 months ago- yes! I like this site. it's easy to get bored and confused with big words in science journals, but this one does a good job, I think.

The research isn't dumbed down, but it's explained in language that everyone can understand, with clear illustrations and references to the original research.

Oldude59 rated 21 months ago- A married couple's project to inform the literate lay person on the issues in cognitive psychology. They restate peer reviewed journal articles.
