OurCountry discovered 8 months ago- I see this question posted with some regularity in the personals section, so I thought I'd take a minute to explain things to the ladies out there that haven't figured it out. What happened to all the nice guys? The answer is simple: you did!

- So... This guy was nice to some girl so that he could get sex in return and he never told her he was interested in sex and just expected her to READ HIS FUCKING MIND. Then she assumes that he actually likes her as a person, and not as a fucktoy, and decides to hang out with him because it doesn't matter that she's not sexually attracted to him because he never fucking told her but instead pretended to be her friend.
And he thinks it's HER FAULT he's bitter little coward?
Guys like this are the reason a lot of women are reluctant to trust men who seem to be nice. Guys like this are only nice for their own gain.

- Once again, some man thought that "nice guy" and "spineless, self-less dude hanging about instead of having his own life" were synonymous. From the page: "He'd tag along with you when you went shopping, stop by your place for a movie when you were lonely but didn't feel like going out, or even sit there and hold you while you sobbed and told him about how horribly the (other) guy that you were fucking treated you." In other words, he acted like a GIRLFRIEND and wondered why a woman couldn't see him as a man. Duh!

- There are 6 thumbs down to this page and 1 is a man, 4 are women, and 1 I don't know, but it doesn't matter because he/she was just complaining that this article is a repeat. I have a news flash for you ladies who have given this thing a thumbs down, everything that guy said is true. Sure, the specifics might be off, but the severe lack of "nice guys" is due to the female species always going for the asshole. sure, nothing is 100%, but for the large majority of 20 - 30 somethings this is pretty much the standard. Guys learn at an early age (if they're smart) that a bit of assholery will get you laid faster than being the shoulder to cry on.
