I enjoyed this tasty visual history of data storage, and I happen to own some of that lovely green paper tape. Found via BoingBoing Gadgets.

I have fond memories of my ZX81. It took forever to load programs via tape and then something would go wrong and then I'd cry.

Its easy to forget how far technology has come in such a tiny space of time. I can only imagine what it must be like for people born in the 1900's to live through all this progress.
