- Agree with geomysterio, it doesn't appear that the orangutan understands how/why the spears used by the fisherman work. It appears he's merely mimicking the motions as best he can.

- I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's using a "spear." The splash makes it look more like it's trying to hit the fish with a stick. Perhaps it's using a tool, but nothing so advanced as a spear.
