drbob discovered 15 months ago- Retroshare is a cross-platform private p2p sharing program. It lets you share securely your friends, using a web-of-trust to authenticate peers and OpenSSL to encrypt all communication. RetroShare provides filesharing, chat, messages and channels.

- I installed this program several months ago and finally started playing with it tonight. It works very well. The part about issuing certificates to friends isn't that intuitive, the programs help files helped a bit, but after that was done, I was able to share files securely back and forth. I am now having several friends create accounts. This is sure to be one of my top programs.
