Nice tool to fight spam

Great idea, it just should have a SOAP/Web Service implementation.

It's a good idea but sometimes it's unreadable.

this is pretty cool, Im sure I will use this on my own site....

I've seen this one used before, it's nearly impossible to read. last.fm uses it. I probably went through 20-30 to find one I could read. Their 'to sound' didn't work either.

Stumbleupon seems to ask for captcha verification only a couple of times when commenting. Furthermore, this one is actually pretty clear. I'll probably be using this on my own website soon.

Prevent bots from spamming your website. reCAPTCHA is one of the best and most secure CAPTCHA-generators available. And it's free. Another great thing about it is that you're actually helping to digitize books. StumbleUpon has already implemented it, why don't you?

Very cool tech; this should head off future spammers from SU. Better still, you're helping to get books digitised for the internet archive! What could be cooler? If you've got a problem reading the text, there's always the reload button.

Captcha quickly determines if you are a real stumbler or a spamming bot, then it goes away. It's a very temporary inconvenience and well worth the bother. I suspect most of the thumbs down are from frustrated spammers, because the very slight and temporary bother is NOT worth all the fuss otherwise.
