Apollo with haloJesus with halo In short: The author views Jesus as a character used in allegory, and even as a metaphor, at times. That Jesus is a carpenter symbolizes his rôle in Creation. Also, Judas Iscariot (meaning "Judean Assassin") represents "The Jews,"... more

Regardless of whether any of this is proof of the non-existence of a Jesus known as the Christ, it is important to remember that many writings were destroyed either in wars or massive book burnings as one group attempted to erase the history and culture of another. There may have been lost writings about this Jesus that would fill many gaps in what we have today. Then if he were a real person, there would be much more richness about his character that would inspire people. If a mythological character, he would still be rather awesome!

A study of the roots of the bible. Raises more questions than it answers. Although disjointed its a good read for the sceptical.

Don't tell James Cameron about this. He dug up Jesus' grave. :) This is all interesting, but hardly proof. What it basically comes down to is you either believe in Jesus' existence or you don't. There's always something new every year; they find Jesus's grave, they find out he didn't exist. It's up to the individual to decide if their personal experience with their deity warrants the faith they hold for him/her/it.

I respectfully disagree with the article and with Airintake44, and GodofThunder.
