From the page: "It's easy to say That's fine we don't want sex offenders in our town! Probably no one does. But restricting where they can live isn't going to make them disappear: it's been tried in more than 20 states and the proven result is that it drives them...

The author missed the point. People should not be perpetually punished after their sentence is served. If you want to protect your children, teach them not to talk to strangers and to run away if they are approached. It worked for me when I was solicited by a man in a car when I was walking home from school in sixth grade!

You don't need 15 poorly written paragraphs to convince people there needs to be a reform.

Nice article, and yeah, I just saw something on the news about how it also allows the offenders to find mutual friends to cling to & perhaps unite for future events...could be a bad thingy for sure ;)

It would be great if all sex offenders actually registered but the fact is they don't all do so. Of those who do register all it does is allow us to worry about the close proximity they are to our children. It's a shame it doesn't work as it should but this article provides insight into another persons perspective of this issue.

It started as a good idea, but our idiotic government let it run into the ground. Only sex offenses should require registration.

Extremely well written and presented. More reasons why laws made by our legislatures have unintended side effects. Every time we ask for a common sense law we get back something that is not was needed in the first place.
