ajanelle rated 7 months ago- Well, this hasn't led to good information at all. After reading the account of the guy who put forth the whole Senoi/Dream Culture idea, I decided to look up the Senoi to see what exactly they're like- or at least what anthropologists say their like. While it seems to be the case that they (the Senoi) are not as described by Mr. Stewart, there is no good contradictory information on them, either. This article claims to present some, but is not useful in it's lack of professionalism and credibility. The author rambles on about how his colleagues got onto him for not being critical enough of Stewart and says basically: well then, here goes. He claims untruths up front, the "fact" that a lack of REM sleep does not cause insanity, as well as the "fact" that there is no such thing as lucid dreaming. The first of which has no scientific basis (well, outside of that guy who's supposedly not slept in 30 years), and the second of which is pure fiction-even more so than the "fact" of a flat earth. Well, after the first page I gave up expecting this to be a good informational source, either.
