Entertainment Weekly wrote an open letter to the sci-fi channel advising them how to improve their offerings - specifically, to get leading sci fi writers involved in writing shows.

Good points, except that the people who wrote the letter don't seem to understand that movies like Beyond Loch Ness and Mansquito are made to be extremely bad for humor rather then for real science fiction.

I'm afraid this is true. They could do so much, yet have done so little. I don't even remember what their cable channel is any more.
