A 35-year veteran police officer with the New Orleans Police Department was suspended, with only 15 minutes left on his last shift, for wearing the wrong uniform shirt. Supervisor boosting morale yeah right

Brash and irrational power play by a police supervisor. There could have been multiple reasons he did what he did, but it was definitely done with malice. Fortunately, they restored his honorable status, probably only to avoid the lawsuit that was headed their way (the restoring part is found here http://www.officer.com/online/article.jsp?siteSection=1&id=42518)

WTF? That is outrageous. Never underestimate the power of bureaucracy to focus on the completely irrelevant.

How's this for nitpicking? What a petty superior! I'm really lost for words on this one.

We need to inundate the department with letters of protest.

That's kinda unfair.. Someone is either an asshole - or just hates this guy..

This is so absurd it is hard to believe. Hopefully The supervisor will get the thrashing he deserves by the courts for what is absolutely nuts! To think that the supervisors petty personal issue will cost this great officer his commission and his veteran eligibility is Crazy
