pocketcultures discovered 2 months ago- which second language will help you talk to the largest number of people?

sunbirdbudz rated 13 days ago- very interesting, considering English is #2 - and We The People cannot get our lame, 'porky' Congress to pass a bill making English our National Language!

- From the page: "but will there come a point where another language becomes so widely spoken that it overtakes English as second language of choice? It may happen sooner than you think. " aw crap.

loldog4 rated 8 weeks ago- this is actually pretty interesting to know

- Arabic should be on this list
Arabic is Arabic it doesn't matter where u speak it it's still Arabic..the difference is in the accent and the slang which can differ even from city to city in the same country...but the basic grammer and structure is the same and it all stems from FusHa which is the basic Arabic which is taught in school and which is used in official writing. I mean I'm from the gulf area...I can to some extent understand Arabic spoken in all Arabian countries..and even if I didn't understand the meaning of a word, usually I get the gist of the sentence..and if I couldn't I can always ask the person I'm speaking to, can't I???? - Arabic should be on this list
