For some reason this seems something reminiscent of Jung... maybe he was onto something with his collective unconscious. Not quite the same thing, obviously... but a facinating, bizzare, intriguing concept, nonetheless.

I like the concept of memes because it seems so common-sense, like I already had the theory in my head before I read anything on the subject. This is something I could really look into as it turns our everyday nonsense, the little things that make up our lives, into a cogent science.
