I had to say goodbye to my best friend today. She watched over me and protected me for the past eight years, gave me comfort, calmed my fears,scared away strangers, and loved me unconditionally. My beautiful gentle giant, my Abbey Girl left this world for the next. My life stayed beautiful because of her strength and I will be forever grateful for having been given the privilege of her being in my life. I feel her with me still, silent and watching at my side, my best friend, my guardian, my beautiful lovely Abbey Girl. Thank you Mama, I am thankful you chose me to love.

This sweet heart of a Arizonian (is that what we are called??..lol) kept my spirits up with the promise of a free beer and nothing is more dear to a infantryman then free beer!!! Jokes aside she is a great lady with a thoughtful and at times very funny blog. Thanks for the emails and the support!!
