- It's not every day that I agree with the rest of the crowd - but every once in a while, even angry mobs can be right. This site is utter crap - if having a higher numeric in that "friends" figure means anything at all to you, unplug your computer, throw it out the window, and go meet people in real life. At best, you can ruin your Stumbletron, as has been mentioned below, because you're getting links from semi-random people instead of from people with similar interests. At worst, you're a MySpacer trying to game StumbleUpon with your meaningless collect-a-friend antics. Hey, I play games too - but that "Friends" stat isn't a score.

As many have said, iWhore. As as also been said, this doesn't actually work - having random non-stumbling friends doesn't enhance your stumbling experience, it just reduces the quality of your stumbles because you're being informed by someone with whom you have little in common.

- Erm, I'm not here to make friends.. just to find interesting thingers on the web. If I enjoy your collection, I add you.. if you enjoy mine, you can add me. Friending for the express purpose of having more friends misses the entire point of SU. It's called StumbleUpon, not Myspace!
