America isn't perfect. No country is. And no country ever will be. But on this day, I am proud to be an American.
 Daxx61 rated 6 months ago- Thumbed down because, let's face it, whilst not always literal truth there are good reasons why people make those statements - if you can't see that then you're blind to global politics. The US is compared to Nazi Germany because it is strikingly fascist as a nation. Bush is compared to Hitler because people hate him, and they hate Hitler (the fact that he's a war criminal is irrelevant). The US might not have an empire in the traditional sense but it is imperial in its outlook and commercialisation is the new imperialism. It's called hyperbole, and stems from intense dislike. Learn to live with it, separate the actual criticism from the inanity and shut the fuck up.
