    This is good information. I've got to wonder though, if we know all this trash is there why aren't we out picking up the trash and recycling it instead of making a web page to blame others.

    the size of texas - why cant I see it on google earth..... Surely if this was true somebody would have a photgraph of it would they not?

    I happened to be listening to a really surreal song by Your Ten Mofo and it kind of clicked into place with the drifty arrows. Garbage sucks.

    i always wondered what happens to the garbage that's thrown away from houses, shops and other industries... This animation shows how the trash has become so big in a matter of 6 years, What will it be by the end of 2050.. i feel sorry for the sea creatures...
