Why lie? I buy books for their covers all the time.

- I'm surprised how many of these covers I dislike. I understand wanting attention-grabbing, different-looking designs, but I'd like more of an emphasis on making them attractive. Some of these covers are also too chaotic and messy for my tastes; some people like that, but it's a "look" that's been done to death. This is an interesting post, though, and I didn't know about this blog, on the cool topic of book cover designs.

- I didn't like any of these covers. While it may be true that a good cover can help a book's sales, and even "save" a not-so-good book, in the final analysis, it IS supposed to be about the book, and not the other way around. If I saw any of these books in the book store, I wouldn't pick ANY of them up.
