The aim was to not only share a little of what it's "really like to be a nun", but to raise money for poverty-stricken children in Papua New Guinea.
"In my 70s I went to (PNG) ... I went into villages and met these families and saw their children were too poor to go to school," she said.
Sister Mary found the teachers weren't being paid and students were being turned away at the door."
