- Truly, we never help others - the only one we always help is oneself. In the self, the entire world exists. Therefore, to help others is to help oneself. The truth of compassion is the realization that there is no difference between the helper and the helped. Any other motivation is an untruth. And that is the entire logic behind loving the neighbor as oneself.
