pragueoscarblue discovered 3 months ago- The world community needs to deal with this issue posthaste...there is no good reason,in this day and age,that anyone should go hungry because of rising food costs;and we're talking basic foodstuffs here,folks---rice,corn,and wheat.Nothing fancy. Hell,from purely a crass,materialistic standpoint corporate America and other multinational corporations should be leading the charge on this.Yeah,these are the money whores who are profiting the most from this shit...but think of it this way..if everyone in the world is elevated that's more potential customers,more profit growth...it's simply good business to help raise the lower end of the wealth spectrum as they will be in a better position to buy your crap,which means more money,more wealth potential for the future(Henry Ford figured this one out decades ago...if he paid his workers more money they in turn would become customers and be able to buy the cars they were producing...)...the end game of every corporation ideally should be to have every human being on the planet be a potential customer for your shit...short term investment,long term profit.If they're starving to death,or only subsisting on pennies a day...no more customers...
