May 07, 2008 9:54 AM I think there has to be a better way to elect our candidates than spending millions of dollars on a campaign. The election process has much need of improvement. The Clinton campaign reports today that in the last month Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, has loaned herself $6.425 million in the last month -- bringing her grand total of "loans" to her campaign $11.425 million, putting on in place to be the second biggest self-funder this election cycle, behind only former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
