Well no shit, Sherlock. It's taken a new study to state the obvious ? Still, if it results in a European ban on the use of primates in testing, then good. I suspect the results of this study have been long known but scientists and politicians have either chosen to ignore it or simply don't give a damn. I am once again reminded how much of a fuck-up the human race is.

Lab chimps show same stress symptoms as tortured humans CHIMPANZEES subjected to laboratory experiments suffer similar levels of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as humans who have been tortured, according to a new study. [there's a surprise] The study, which will be presented to a scientific conference in Edinburgh tomorrow, will fuel calls for a Europe-wide ban on the use of primates in medical and pharmaceutical trials.
