More details on the Neocon/Likud covert war on Iran. How many more days until Israel strikes and America rushes in to "assist"? Not good news for our servicemen..

More spinning by the moonbat leftists. They willingness to defeat America, by siding with the enemy, will be their downfall.

Prior to the seizure of 15 British sailors, US forces raided a building described by Iranian and Iraqi officials as well as the kurds as a consulate. The US describe the building as not being a consulate.

The Independent claims that the target of the raids were high ranking Iranian government officials.

What I'd like to know is, what were two Iranian senior intelligence officials doing in Iraq in the first place? What was the real purpose behind their visit? As for the U.S., it does look like they are looking for an excuse to carry out an attack against Iran. Mind you, the Iranians don't do themselves any favours by behaving in they way in which they do. As for the British, I am surprised that they were unaware of this failed attempt by U.S. special forces, in attempting to abduct these two senior intelligence officials. Either the U.S. was remiss in informing the British, their ally, and for reasons of their own, or, the British did know and didn't expect the Iranians to launch an abduction operation of their own--targeting British military forces. What ever the case may be, the situation now has become more complicated, and tense. Negotiation is the only way out of this. That is if the U.S. can demonstrate some restraint for the time being. I would imagine that, Prime Minister Blair is not too happy with President Bush at the moment. Mind you, I would love to be sitting in on the negotiations between both, the British and the Iranians right now. I'm sure that, there are some interesting discussions going on right now.

Did Iran capture British sailors in retaliation for the U.S. raid on their liaison office in Iraq, during which we took five junior officials prisoner?

Unbelievable...the liberal method of twisting everything into an anti-American rant is almost comedic... The poor peaceful Iranians were forced to grab hostages after their emissaries of peace and love who were only in Iraq to spread love and hope were threatened by the big bad Americans...so in the liberal mind the poor Iranians were only trying to protect themselves by taking Hostages and parading them on Television (Violation of Geneva Convention?...No only the USA is held to that treaty)...Its really all Americas fault...pathetic...Now it is obvious how Hitler was able to roll over European losers.

Nothing new under the sun - provocation is a well-proven technique when a ruling elite desires to arranges an incident with which to «justify» a decision that has already been made to go to war....
