Wang Zhizhong worked as a coal carrier. Carrying a basket of coal Weighting 40kg (88 lb), he made his way up a 100m deep mine, and then Walked a distance of 1000m along a mountainous track. For each trip, he Made 1RMB (0.125 USD). He was 17.

This site tuch my heart. I often hear about people who work in undergrown and some accident happen. I think in a developed world we should not have like this hard work. But we still have.

Ah, life, its pain, suffering, love and above all the will to live on! If there is a meaning to life, here lies a piece to it...

Such is life, all of this happens in some way or the other to everyone. Pain and suffering in various forms are part of life. There is not much difference between a person who goes to office everyday versus a man who carries coal every day, they both do it to earn money. Obviously each has different needs, but the basic need is the same; to be comfortable wherein comfort is also relative. Its alright, people dont need to see a staircase or the world or the next country. They will find a way if they want to if they really want it, and this applies to everything in life. Dear god, some heart-stopping images capturing a world of abject poverty, pain and perseverance. Do take the time to read the captions.

"The poverty of our century is unlike that of any other. It is not, as poverty was before, the result of natural scarcity, but of a set of priorities imposed upon the rest of the world by the rich. Consequently, the modern poor are not pitied... but written off as trash. The twentieth-century consumer economy has produced the first culture for which a beggar is a reminder of nothing." - John Berger

True compassion is more than flinging a coin at a beggar; it comes to see that an edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring. - MLK

"When the rich make war, it's the poor that die." - Jean-Paul Sartre
