AirToob rated 5 months ago- "Say Hello To 224mph" - in French! "The AGV (Automotrice Grande Vitesse) train will travel at up to 360km/h (224mph), powered by motors placed under each carriage... "Alstom compares the AGV - successor to the TGV - to the world's largest passenger plane, the Airbus A380, in terms of importance and innovation." If you're interested in this sort of thing, you might also like to read my entry on the engineering feats of the Eurostar Train and the Channel Tunnel, which you will find here.

LafnLion rated 5 months ago- France continues to make technological progress in their rail transport, with the introduction of a new bullet-fast train. This technology would make a great deal of sense on the US' Eastern seaboard, running the Boston-Washington tunnel, or maybe all the way down to Atlanta. Another spur could run out to Chicago. Unfortunately, we don't have the money to build one - it would cost probably about the same as a year in Iraq.
