When the greatest threat to humanity and life on the planet is over-population and its impact, I have long thought of the Catholic church as one of the most evil organisations around for banning almost all forms of birth control. Hopefully, this is a first step towards enlightenment about an essential change in attitudes towards being pro-life in the future. What was a sensible policy 2,000 years ago when the human population was relatively small is clearly reckless and dangerous nowadays. If God gave us intelligence and free will, he/she surely expects us to use them sometimes.
