This is clever provided it's satire - "It took me three days to figure out that there was another side to the tape." If the writer is actually 13 and isn't being facetious, he might need to ride a shorter bus to school.

I actually laughed out loud: "I mistook the metal/normal switch on the Walkman for a genre-specific equaliser" I can kind of understand that, considering he might not have known about metal tapes... but the "other mistakes" he talks about are inexcusable. Come on! How could you not know how to operate a tape player?
