dtanner89 rated 5 weeks ago- A sad but inevitable side-effect of industrialization. If only we learned from our mistakes...

smebro rated 7 weeks ago- Yes, soon this planet will be ours!!!!!! Muwahahahahaha. But seriously people, warm fuzzies for being the super cool animal we are.

VersesOverCoffee rated 7 weeks ago- "Between a quarter and a third of the world's wildlife has been lost since 1970, according to data compiled by the Zoological Society of London. Populations of land-based species fell by 25%, marine by 28% and freshwater by 29%, it says. Humans are wiping out about 1% of all other species every year, and one of the "great extinction episodes" in the Earth's history is under way, it says. Pollution, farming and urban expansion, over-fishing and hunting are blamed."

sillydog2112 rated 7 weeks ago- As part of your penance, here's your bummer article of the day. Were that it wasn't true. Consider it the next time you go to the asian market and are considering buying Weird Shit in a Can(tm). I stand by my prediction of Ms. Silva becoming a major world figure in short order -- note the recommendation about deforestation at the end of the article. That's radical shit that needs to happen, as does a ban on the unrestricted use of plastics that are degrading into a toxic slurry of tiny plastic bits that now fill the stomachs of so much ocean life.

ricojrod rated 7 weeks ago- so sad. will we ever learn?
