BumApples discovered 12 months ago- Stubborn? Us?

User460113 rated 12 months ago- Yeah up yours to the EU! Heh heh!

jenjen1352 rated 12 months ago- From the page: "The European Union is set to confirm it has abandoned what became one of its most unpopular policies among many people in Britain. It is proposing to allow the UK to continue using pounds, miles and pints as units of measurement indefinitely." Good. Old money was a bit of a pain in the whatsit, mainly because the coins were so big. Sometimes it's nice to be ornery.

SomersetBob rated 12 months ago- At last the EU has seen the light -- it's going to rule that Britain can retain its pounds, miles and pints alongside metric measurements. A victory for the campaigners - and common sense.

But you try living with a dual Imperial/Metric system. The Metric Martyrs have won, but spare a thought for us Neither-one-nor-the-other Ninnies.
