From the page: "Until now, the XO machines, as they are known, have only been offered with an open-source Linux operating system." I wonder why it was not offered with Vista instead of XP ? Is it because Microsoft don't want the embarrassment that Vista would bring them if used !!

From the page: "Microsoft has joined forces with the developers of the "$100 laptop" to make Windows available on the machines." Shame, as I though this project was all about making something accessible and open. But, at least this might mean that Microsoft continue to support XP for longer than they might have done. As XP is still far more stable and usable than Vista.
