tonymcgregor discovered 10 months ago- Let's hope that sense prevails and all capital punishment is banned in the US and everywhere else. Nothing can make capital punishment civilised. It is degrading and brutalising to the society in which it takes place. No-one has the right to take another person's life. No-one, not ever, in any circumstances. Theologically. for those who are believers, taking a person's life is playing God, a blasphemy in any religion. Socially it just is bad practice, brutalising and of no certain benefit in terms of deterrence.
