Old-Jonesy discovered 18 months ago- Book Covers from "On the Road." Different editions, different countries -- dig those in Russian and Japanese.
The first copy I read was a battered 1982 Signet paperback with the back cover torn off.
For some reason a Croatian edition has a picture of George Harrison on it. Taken from the Revolver album cover.
There's also a Ukrainian edition that looks like a bottle of Jack Daniels.
Wierder still is the Chinese edition with what looks like the cast of a Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers fan film.- Book Covers from "On the Road." Different editions, different countries -- dig those in Russian and Japanese.

Jonk rated 5 months ago- What has this cover to do with anything?
On the Road anyone? I certainly didn't imagine Sal and Dean and the rest looking like this.- What has this cover to do with anything?

- A collection of over 155 book covers of Jack Kerouac's book "On the Road". "When I'm old, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to study languages reading these." (Kerouac's comment on the foreign editions of his books, 1966.) Its too bad he didn't live long enough to truly live out that candid comment.

BigDaddyB rated 18 months ago- A French language version of "On the Road" I love this book and this is a really great idea for the cover. This is the edition I have.

Moira rated 18 months ago- From the page: ""When I'm old, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to study languages reading these." (Kerouac's comment on the foreign editions of his books, 1966.)"
