Barack laid out a fundamental problem in a manner few others can or proably ever will again. A well conceived speech delivered in an inspired manner. The question is are we ready to deal with it? I am less then optimistic at this juncture, I feel the powers that be, that shape and torment this country will not allow the healing to begin.Regrettably,we are going to see our political process undermined creating even more problems for a really troubled country, not a good prognosis.

"We (blacks) are pissed off because whites have subjugated us for hundreds of years. This will work itself out as soon as the white community accepts that fact."Wrong, Barack. Fact is, I didn't see you as "black" until you labeled yourself as "black." The racist is the one categorizing everyone by skin color (psst...you).

It's nice to see a politician being honest about race and class relations in America. From the page: "A More Perfect Union Watch Barack's speech on race in America and building a more perfect union."

This is the most candid, intelligent, nuanced political speech in a loooong, loooong time. Required viewing for all Americans.
