It's a nice animation but do remember that what's actually going on is even messier that the words used to describe it. Things spin a million times a second and are jostling around so much that they just chaotically bump into each other instead of magically falling into place like these videos tend to show. @Innomen Damn, I've been in the game so long I don't even think about the obfuscation most of the time. I know that moving up to the species level we accumulate troublesome vocabulary because the dick who named something feels like the name he chose was perfect and because he's the single guy leading research about it we all kind of have to use his terms to keep is from being even worse than this and by the time he's finally stepped down so many people are used to it that we just keep doing it the way we have been. A lot of the time even when an official organization steps in and says they're overriding someone's choice of names they still refuse to stop standing in the way of clarity. It sucks pretty hard but compared to the time I spent grasping concepts the Latin vocabulary feels like it was just a blink of an eye. I know I actually spent a lot longer learning how to speak in this gibberish specialty language but it's hard to remember the way I used to think.

Wow! Seeing all this in a video really brought back a lot of the things I learnt years back, but seeing it all come together in a video like this is brilliant! Absolutely amazing to see what is really just a small fraction of the intricate workings of the cell.

Beautiful video and a wonderful example of scientific obfuscation. Is it truly necessary at this point of our technological development to cloak everything in pseudo Latin and eponyms? Gee, it's almost like they profit in some way from the scarcity of their training. Good thing cell biology and such were not made more intuitive, then we might have an abundance of cell biologists, and we all know how much that would suck... for pharmaceutical companies at least.
