a decent article until author began to ...whine.. for lack of a better description...towards the end. not being open with the family is being unfaithful to yourself...strange concept to be sure...but "family" means love without boundaries. as a child, grandchild, parent,grandparent-i know that the only thing i would have trouble getting past would be a child or grandchild leaving this existence before i leave. my grandmother-devout methodist- loved me when i was exploring wicca, hindu, and many other religion based ideas. but i came to believe that her faith was deist--as it turned out that this term is the best description of my faith also. i am more than this body--there is a part of me that will exist after the body has turned to dust. after all we are electricity and a current can be diverted but will dissipate into some form of energy. the idea that the author feels that control was lost because of the "outing" is ...still looking for words...pathetic. the only time you have control in this existence is the milli-moment before you make a decision. the rest is left up to how you perceive the world. you can't change what another thinks or feels about your beliefs. all you can do is accept that sometimes 'nothing' is a choice and it only matters if you make it matter. bless your heart, and y'all have a nice day
